Lost remote alarm/how to start car?

Lost the remote alarm and was wondering if I have to wait to go to Dodge delearship or is there a way to disarm it without the remote?
Also, can Dodge make new one with vin #?

Hi Matt,Unfortunately your going to need a remote to disarm the system! When you get a new remote you are now going to have to program the remote to the car! Call me during the week and I'll walk you through the reprograming of a new remote.

I think what you have to do to re-program the remote is:

Walk up to the car and hold down both buttons for 30 seconds.

Then try to turn the alarm off.

We'd have alot of Vipers if that were the case!
To program a remote on a 94 there is a dark green wire under the dash that you have to ground and then you can program the remote to the car!

Having car towed Thursday morning to local Dodge dealer. I bought a new remote and they can reprogram my old one so that I can have two remotes now. What boggles me is where in the he## I lost the keys, unless my little girl got ahold of them!!! Thanks everyone who posted and 1000 thanks to Chuck Tator again.

Just had to wait about 3 days now to drive my Viper. Just another
3 to go, talk about a grown man crying!!!!!!!

I have a 97 GTS which came with a second remote that was never programed. I tried the process per the manuel (ground green wire,etc) and had no luck programing it. Interestingly enough, when I try to synch the remote that does work (holding both buttons down) I also get no response. It works fine other wise. Any suggestions?
