I just had KWs installed (lowered car about 1.75 inches) two days ago. Twice while I drove my car today there was a loud popping sound that seemed to come from the front passenger side wheel area. Both times it happened when I hit a bump/pothole in the road. Niether time was the bump big enough to cuase the car to bottom out. It did not sound like any sort of rubbing sound; it was a crisp pop sound. Anyone have any idea what this could be?

Check to see if the small mud-flap-looking plastic diverters are still attached to the rear bottom of the inner fender liner. They're held on with push rivets that snap when the diverters are torn off.

As mentioned above the push rivets do snap and then fall inside the car and rattle around. We remove these mud flaps as no one has been able to tell us what useful purpose they provide.

These flaps are air diverters that create turbulance after the wheels to cool the cats and exhaust in the sills.(see the holes right behind)

Makes total sense, thanks for the info. I didn't know what they were for either, but they never bothered me...
