Needed to get a couple of new cell phones today (well, needed is kinda strong, but let's not split hairs...), so I figured I could run and do it at lunch.

Went to Sprint store. They weren't familiar with my business account and said I was better off to buy the phone then activate it using our special corporate service number. So, off to Best Buy I go - it was in the same shopping center. Before I could get too far through the parking lot, I am stopped by three teenagers in a car asking me to stop so they could take a picture. I pull up to a more open area and let them click away. They were from Michigan - thanked me profusely, and drove off.

Buy phones - fairly uneventful.

Head home. Must take alternate route to avoid construction. See a new Mitsu Evolution dodging traffic to catch me. Pulls up beside me and says "Great Car", to which I say - "You too!" and then he holds up a camera and asks if I can pull over so he can shoot some pictures. I say sure and we find an office building with a decent backdrop.

I get out, check out his car (first one I'd seen - bright yellow, etc.) and he takes pictures, and we chat. He was very excited to see the car and I thought the new Mitsu was cool too, with nice Brembo calipers front and rear, Recaro seats, etc. Tell him I need to get back to work, and we go our separate ways.

Granted, my car is a rolling circus (the stars and stripes car) but it always puts a smile on my face to drive and I get to meet some great car people. Not bad for a 7 year old Dodge, huh? I sure will miss it when it's gone.

Yeah,

A once in a lifetime occurance with almost any other car...except the Viper. A buddy of mine who works at the local gas station around here is big on those Mitsu Evo's, really big! I had never seen one before and asked what they looked like, he said really sweet. I looked online and found them, I'm not impressed at all...but whatever floats your boat!

Great story!

Drive it by a VFW Post and see all the veterans stand at attention and salute that beautiful Viper of yours. :D

I thought at first she was talking about the SRT. I thought to myself "no way" would people be taking pics of it like that. Then, she mentioned the stars...

That's very different! Nevermind. ;)

Dean, I know - when I want to go fairly "stealth", I take the SRT.... I still love the convertible, but it doens't attract the attention of the Stars and Stripes.... It was a tremendously sad day when Henry's '96 went on the Intercity trailer, even though his new owner loves him and tracks him... :(

Oh crap. Can someone tell me why I am not so stupid that I can no longer grab my photos and put them in a reply? I know Tony fixed this once for me, but I still don't get it. Sorry - unless I add some IQ points, you'll have to copy and paste.

No worries - it's a URL, not a pic that you linked to...thus, no image shown <Click here>

If you right click on the image itself, then select properties and then copy the URL for the image inclduing the extension of the pic in question (in this case .jpg) then it will display the image when posting [image][/image].

Wow - nice car Janni!! :)
