MGW Gripper Shifter - Shift Boot Problem?

When I bought my GTS, it came with the MGW Gripper shifter installed. Problem is, the shift boot has fallen below the shifter nut, leaving a gap. I see no way to keep the shifter boot above this nut (and tight against the shifter). As a result, I'm getting a lot of engine heat up through the opening. Anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it?

Turn the boot inside out and put a zip tie around the boot and shift knob and pull it tight.......Flip it back a there you go!!!

GREAT idea! Next problem... when I took out the interior panel to access the boot, it seems as though the leather has shrunk, and now the edges do not wrap around the edges of that steel plate. Has anyone ever bought a new shift boot? I'm guessing that Chad perhaps sells a regular black shift boot as well?
