I'm thinking of selling a pair of michelin pilot sports(rear) I bought for my 01 GTS
Anybody have an idea of value? They have never been mounted and are new.

Depending on the date code really. You should be able to sell them rather quickly for $500 to $600 for the pair.

Can you tell me where to find the date code?

It's on the sidewall. Go to tirerack.com and there may be a way to decipher it. I can't recall off hand. If there are new though, there should be a sticker on them with the size, brad and manufacture date on there.

Look on the sidewall for the letters 'DOT' There will be a series of numbers and letters after that. The last 4 numbers enclosed in an oval tell you the date of manufacture. For instance, if the last 4 digits are 2404, this means that the tire was manufactured in the 24th week of 2004. Hope this helps.

^ and I believe this number is only stamped on one sidewall. Since the tires are directional, that means you'll only be able to see the date code on one tire, the other date code will be on the inside sidewall.

This is true. If they are mounted on the car, you'll only see them on one side of the car.
