Thanks to big Jim for responding. Is the new yellow more orange, darker, etc than the old? I thought the previous was a great color. New yellow looks more orange than the other. Anybody seen one yet?

Thanks, and happy holidays!

Good question. When my 2001 Yellow ACR was delivered about 1 month ago, I bought the car without ever seeing one in person (I missed VOI 6).

Here is how I describe it:
Definitely different than the Prowler yellow; it's slightly darker with more orange.
Definitely different than the previous Viper; different shade of yellow entirely
Definitely different than the common vette/Z06 yellow you probably see all over town; more regal and royal looking.

Here is how my wife describes it: "French's yellow mustard; not grey poupon, but French's". Personally I think it's a little bit darker than French's, but pretty close. A better way make be to think about the dried mustard on the top of the bottle that doesn't make it on your food. It slightly darker with more tint.

Don't know if it helps, but it's a hell of a color in person and kinda hard to describe in words.

Lethal Viper;

Thanks for the color info, I'll have to go pick up some French's at the store and check it out. From photos, the new color is more orange than the previous which seems more pale. Thanks a lot

Jim

P.S. Do you think "cornsnk" or "crnsnak", or "crnsnke" would be a good Iowa corn state plate. My family is in the hi-bred seed business. "Cornsnake" won't fit on the plate. Which do you think people will understand? Any clever suggestions?

The new yellow can be described as BRIGHT, it really grabs your attention. French's mustard.... hmmm, pretty close!

The previous yellow was Soft, almost pastel.

Yellow is one of my favorite colors, and the new yellow is a "keeper" in my book.

I'll have some more feedback & pictures of the yellow this evening -- my '01 solid yellow RT/10 is being delivered *TODAY AT 2PM* unless some disaster occurs.

... not that I'm waiting impatiently or anything, mind you ...
