Have 05 Gen 3 silver mamba edition viper. Over the last 2 months, I have noticed two small (but getting larger) cracks running from the driver side of the console adjacent to the gear shifter. They started from the L side of where the aluminum is attached that forms the base of the shifting unit and are running toward the floor board. (one is 1/2 inch, other is 3/4 inch). I have never modified the gear shifter nor tightened/loosened bolts the connect the brushed aluminum to the console in this area. Other then defective I have no other logical explanation. WHAT TO DO? Its cosmetic so could leave alone but i'd like to fix or replace this piece (only problem with this is that I have the mamba 005/200 attached to this. Any thoughts???? I know that you can replace the console that houses the radio/oil/engine temp guages etc, but have never heard of the piece of the console the E brake/gear shifter are housed in replaced. THnks in advance viper nation
