Guys I just put new rotors and stainless steel brake lines on on today and pads.

When I took the wheels off I notices that the Air Deflector had disappeared and only the bracket was still there.

Also noticed that the right side rotors and pads where metal to metal while the left side (still with deflector on) where ok.

This tells me that the air deflectors are doing there job. Does anyone know where I can pick one up locally here in So California?? I see now that I am going to need it before this weekend!!!!

(Maybe I can wait ....its probably somewhere on the track at Buttonwillow from last weekend. LOL!!!!)

Thanks in advance!!!!

Assuming they're Porsche deflectors (as most seem to be), perhaps your local Porsche dealer could help....

If Ron's suggestion does not work out, try calling Nancy in Parts at Woodhouse ( 1-800-889-1893)...if she has them in stock, she could FedEx them to by Fri.

If you are going to ViperDays at Buttonwillow this weekend then you should be able to get the deflectors from John Archer at the track.

Have fun and good luck!

John,

Newport Auto doesn't have them in stock. Gotta order them. I'll check McKenna and Circle tomorrow if I remember. These are the part numbers I got from Dave Jenkins:

993 341 08 400
993 341 08 300

By the first three numbers (993) I assume they are for a 993 (last air-cooled 911).

Good luck. Hope I don't fry my brakes this weekend. Dave change the fluid (Motul 600) for me yesterday.
