Need help on skip- shift, 2000 GTS

Can anyone tell me which electronic plug on a 2000 GTS is the harness to disable the skip-shift (1st gear to 4th gear)? There is a harness on the drivers side of the transmision as well as one on the passenger side.

I disabled the harness on my 95 per the instructions in the "illustrated upgrades" as both harnesses were on the drivers side - no problem, worked great. The newer 2000 model on my friends car is different? Thanks in advance for any help or direction!

Not at home to look, but as I remember it on my 2001 it is on the drivers side. The picture in the illustrated upgrades is how I remember mine looking as well, so I think the location stayed about the same between the years.

Just step on the GO pedal harder. I've had my '98 for 5+ years and the skip-shift has never been activated. How slow do you have to GO to get it to come on?

When I got mine I figured this would be my first mod. After a few miles I realized that the skip shift is only activated for a second or two. Manual says coolant >93 degrees and between 12-19 MPH and less than 1/4 throttle. Just goose it in first and you will never notice it's there.

Mine never bothered me until I tried to ease into 2nd a couple of times turning in the middle of an intersection and hit it. Then it was time to rip that puppy out.

Besides, on the list of Viper mods, it's one of the cheapest and easiest to do so right there it makes my list. Right next to my MGW air conditioning knobs

Come on guys......there has to be someone out there that can answer my original question? Which side of the transmission is the skip-shift connecter on a 2000 GTS? HELP!!

If you buy the shift eliminator for a corvette its about half the price of the
viper tax one.
