Need help

My 97 GTS sprung a water leak between the timing chain cover and the block.I have taken everything off the front except for the cover itself.All the bolts are out of the cover and the 5 front oil pan bolts also.I cannot seem to get the cover to come off,I dont want to pry at it too hard and break it,so am I missing anything or do I need to take the oil pan completely off?Please help

Drop the oil pan! That's what is holding the cover on!
