Need some help with stereo

I for some reason can not set the clock on the stock Alpine stereo in my 2001 GTS. Can anyone help!

With stereo power on hold the clock button for a few seconds until the display starts to flash then press preset button 5 for the hours and preset button 6 for the minutes, when you are done press clock again and you are done.
