Need to replace radio in a 2000 GTS

Was wonder how difficult it will be to remove and replace the stock radio in a 2000 GTS. Old one not working but have a a replacement and need to know what steps there are to doing this.

I just replaced my stock radio in my 02. Not as easy as others i've done, but not to bad if you have done a couple before. I just posted a threat last week. Its called "First modd, non power modd" Some good info in their. Strikeone commented, he used a cable that looks line the factory cable and connected all the wires through it. Read the post and you will understand. Sounds like the way to go. What head unit are you installing, speakers too or no?

Will take a look at your post. I am replacing the Alpine with an Alpine. Not doing speakers just the head. Most interested in how to get the old one out.

It comes out easy. Just take the trim pannel off and undo 2 screws and pull the radio out. Pretty straight forward. Now the wiring is a different story. Still not that bad.
