New England VCA Weekend Cruise: the Limerock Area
August 12-13th Weekend, Lakeville, CT
Get ready for a spectacular weekend overnight event! Our new Southern New England Events Director, Dan Cretella, has arranged a driving tour in the area near Limerock, CT. The route is rated among the top 3 driving tours in CT. The drive, if we do the entire tour, is about 115 miles on great roads for Vipers. The scenery is beautiful – a river on one side, a state forest on the other. There are a dozen historical/photo op stops along the tour.
We will be meeting at 1pm on Saturday, August 12th at our usual CT meeting spot: the Willington, CT, truck stop off of I-84. The rooms where we are staying are about a 2.5 hour drive from the meeting spot. Part of this drive will be on Route 84 West. Beyond Hartford, we will be driving primarily on Route 44 West. This part of the drive is also “Viper type driving.”
On Saturd ay night, we’ll be staying over in Torrington, CT. Here are the details on the hotel accommodations:
