New HardTop pics

FINALLY, finished the new hardtop. It was an idea i talked over with JonB and Vipermania ended up making it. the final work was completed by a local auto body specialist here in town.

A vipermania hardtop with the duct facing rearward and it is fully functional allowing cabin pressure to not build up.

I was wondering, since www.Vipermain.com is the one that ended up making this hardtop, are the dimensions identical to those of their Quick-Mount Double-Bubble Hard Top (minus the Integrated Roof Duct in the front)? Just curious, since you have no pics of it from the front. From the obvious visible difference of the duct being in the back, what other differences are there? By this I mean, what differences can't be seen in these pics? For example: What does the underside look like? How this new design prevents cabin pressure from building up?

well, all in all its the same dimensions; the duct however, is actually functional using four interior ports to release cabin pressure air through the duct as the car builds it with speed. also, the duct itself was redone with better structural support and wider edges by my local guy, in addition to redoing the paint job which had some ripples in it. i also had handles put inside on both sides as opposed to just passenger side. other than that, its nothing more than a wrong viermania hardtop, LOL

Whos cap is that? Direct fit or did you have to make it up?

I have had this same gas cap on my car since it was 2 weeks old back in 99. Nothing but good comments from everyone that sees it except from 2 people. The reason I bought mine was because people were commenting on why my Viper did not have the polished gas door like they should.

Now the funny thing is the 2 people that did not like it were both GTS owners, I think for some reason GTS owners don't want RT's to have the race caps. Don't forget they look like WARTs on GTS's also.

with a viper as good looking as mine i just had to put on something "unattractive" so as to give others a chance to look good too. problem is, it only made it better, LOL
