IAlso, it is not just black, most of the rarer/more desirable/one year only colors such as Sapphire, Graphite, Black and I think Yellow demand a premium. Red is definitely the most widely available and easiest to get a deal on. No offense to the red owners.

Rare does not equate to desirable/higher price in a lot of instances.
They made a lot of red for a reason, it sells.

It's mileage and condition above all else.
