Explaining Viper things to you
When ordering my new wheels and tires and stuff for my GTS yesterday from Dan at Viper Specialty Performance one of the tire options we discussed was the NEW PS2 Run Flats. Been out maybe a month. Could not even find them on Michelin's web site.

Anyway, Dan's gonna do some research while the wheels are being made, but thought I might throw it out here if anyone has heard of these or tried them or whatever. At issue for me is slightly heavier tires but ditch the spare (you can in a GTS), or keep the spare and get a Big Brakes spare adapter thingy. Because with 14" SRT brakes (the "stuff" above...), the spare I got will no workie.

Correct except 335-10" typo is a 20": We already have ONE customer on here (MikeR) riding these on his Viper. He posted about em.......http://forums.viperclub.org/srt10-s...on-good-runflat-19-20-size-2.html#post2601072

I think the big question is whether or not these tires react to the cooler temps like the old runflats did. Below 50-60 degrees outside, the older PS1 runflats were flat out dangerous [not that they were great in any other condition either however].

It seems as though they have the warmer temp traction sorted out, but I would like to hear if they still have that dangerous feature...

Funny, the PS-2's on my '08 seem to break away easier than the PS-1 run flats on my '05. Maybe it's the extra 90bhp/60ft.-lbs. or maybe I just have a heavy right foot.
