Just got back from the Mopar Southern Nationals at silver dollar raceway in Reynolds GA. Finally got my 96 GTS in the 11s.
60' 1.702
330 4.982
1/8 7.689
mph 88.58
1000 10.012
1/4 11.969
mph 112.68

only wierd thing is that lower my time the slow my mph. Ran several 12.1 and 12.0 at 114 today and 12.1s at 118 in the past. The car has kumho v700 tires, no cats, and mopar cat back exhaust, smooth tubes and filters. Light burn out and left at about 4k rpm on that run, no spin! :headbang:

your mph is getting lower, because your not spinning. I can make a MUCH better mph, by spinning off the line, but my ET will not be my best. Your TRUE mph is the one coupled with your best time. Anyone can inflate their mph by spining off the light.

I think in the vipers case you will not lose 6 mph by not spinning. There guys withs slicks running 11.6 at 117. Were you shifting into 4th every run?

Next time out try shifting at lower rpm's, like 5800 into 3rd then 5600 into 4th.

Good times and those kuhmos are some good tires.

wow.. that is surprising.. I find that the kumho's turn greasy/oily on me after a couple of runs.. I can't get them to hook for the life of me.. i just sit and spin. Literally! :(
