I am going to get a new set of rear tires until I can get my new roe 18 rims and tires. I see Parts rack are selling these new Kumho Ecsta for 175 for each rear. Has anyone tired they tires out yet. Are they crap or good. I like to drag race so I am looking for a good street tire that give good traction. I dont care about road racing.

Crazy traction, crazy, as in first gear full throttle stomp from a roll and not even a hint of wheelspin, nothing.

It's insane. Completely different car, I can toss my car into a corner stuffed pretty good before oversteer takes over into a powerslide, it's near impossible.

Downside #1, many have chips in the wheelwells, they pick up everything.

Downside #2, I toasted most of the tread in 1 day at all 4 corners on a road course. The treadwear rating is 50 as opposed to 200 (180 I think) on Michs. With serious driving your looking at new rears every six weeks or so.

I ran this year, in 04 not sure what I'll do.

Just call Jon at Parts Rack. He won't lie to you to make a sale. I wouldn't mix tire brands or wear on a Viper though...
