Have a 2003 convert and it seems like the steering is stiff and not similar to what I expected. When I say stiff its takes more effort than it should to turn the wheel is this normal?
Pump has fluid and is circulating, no noise is present. Seems like the steering effort is somewhere between normal power steering and none at all. Effort is constant with at all RPMs.

Thanks for the help.

Wait until you have the car sideways on an uphill sweeper going about 80 or so. :omg:

The steering feel is absolutely fine for this. ;)

-The Viper is not a 'nice' luxury car. .............it is a monster.
.....kinda like riding a bull. -that's pissed-off.

The firm steering feel is normal at low speeds and in the parking lot.
...above 150mph you tend to prefer it.

Sounds normal. Viper has wider front tires than most cars have on the rear, which also stiffens up steering.

That's a classic, I'm saving that one.
