Viper Owner
Hey all,
I’ve been lurking around this site since last July when I bought my 2002 Graphite GTS from Bill Pemberton and I figured it was high time I chime in. This beauty only had 17 miles on her and after Bill gave me a deal I couldn’t refuse she had to be mine. This car had apparently spent some time in Australia waiting to get converted to a right side driver and never made the switch. She got sent back to Woodhouse and then into my hands. 2900 miles later I’m still in love with this thing. I stopped driving my Porsche 911 the day after I bought this beauty and the 911 dust collector is now for sale.
Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out how to post a pic as one of my buddies took what I think is a fairly cool photo. His 3 boys play on a hockey team here in Omaha called the Vipers. I met all of the kids on the team and they took a team picture around my car. When I was about to leave I burned a cookie in the big empty parking lot of the ice rink and my buddy took a snapshot.
Another motivating factor to finally get on the board is that I will be leaving for Iraq in a few weeks and I wanted to say hi to everyone before I do so. I’m not sure what internet access I’ll have available once I leave this great country. I’m an emergency physician with the Army and will be supporting the 1-41 Infantry in the southern part of Iraq near Najaf. A year is just too long to spend away from my wife and kids(2 boys and one on the way) and of course I will dearly miss my Viper. I’m hopeful that there is power in numbers when it comes to prayers and if I can recruit some prayers out of all you for all of the soldiers deployed that will certainly help.
Thanks for your time. Now that I’m registered I look forward to chiming in more often.
