REPOST!

If you are one of the 25 guys who will buy the new DC Mercedes CLK-GTR street car for US$1.6 Million, then please be aware that you will hear plenty of Neutral Gear Rattle.

"However, once the blue touch paper has been lit and all 48 valves are bouncing happily up and down, it isn’t the engine tone that dominates your ear drums. Instead, there’s the cacophony of 12 straight-cut cogs idling away inside the British-made XTRAC six-speed gearbox.

Depress the clutch, listen to the now uninterrupted smooth purr of the V12, and prepare for one of the best bits of the whole car – the genuine paddle-change gearshift. "

Yjos "WOULD have been" the perfect time to replace the OE flywheel with a balanced aluminum wheel and new p[ressure plate, and maybe even clutch.

Have you ever swapped out the DextronIII for the heavier oil as covered by TSB?

Maybe you HAD it and the dealer swapped it for Dex-III ???
