I got this one today, just had to share:
Hi Jay,
I would like to share a story with you about the Hospitality extended to my grandson and I yesterday. It had been a difficult week at school for my 7 year old grandson. He suffers from depression and angry outbursts due to the loss of his dad, my son 3 years ago. We decided to go for an adventure yesterday morning to create some happy memories. The first stop on our adventure was the Wind Point Lighthouse in Racine. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we were followed by a caravan of about 30 Viper Cars. You have to know that the Viper Car has always been my grandson's favorite car. He was so excited when all the cars pulled into the open area he just ran towards them. I told him we could look at the cars if he liked. He squealed with delight. A young couple came up to us and asked my grandson if he like Viper's. He said, yes. The young man of the couple offered Tristan, my grandson, a toy replica from his collection displayed in his trunk. Tristan accepted the car, then the young man offered the opportunity for my grandson to sit in the driver's seat of his red Viper. I haven't seen my grandson so joyful since before we lost his dad. We thanked the couple and walked to tour the Lighthouse grounds on our own.
We later stopped by the lighthouse itself to listen to a tour guide talk about the lighthouse. At that point another couple offered the opportunity to join them for a tour of the lighthouse. The guide asked if we had a Viper, Tristan showed him his newly acquired toy replica. The guide allowed us to join the group to climb to the top of the lighthouse. Another man in the Viper group helped Tristan climb and descend the curved stairwellof the Lighthouse.
I just read under your homepage this saying "May God grant us the wisdom to discover the right, the will to choose it, and the strength to endure it". I want to thank all of those who helped create of happy memory for my grandson. I truly believe it was all part of God's plan for us to stop there yesterday. May you all know how much your kindness was appreciated. Please pass this message on to the group from Chicago who was at the Wind Point Lighthouse yesterday, May 6, 2006.
Sincerely,
Liz P.
