Spent a few hours at the PRI Show today in Indy...it was overwhelming! Probably NEED 2-3 days to see it all. We looked at everything from dynos to transporters as well as almost all the mods you could imagine. Had an interesting talk with James Jureski of Texas Nitnous Technology(Tyler,TX) who has kits for Vettes...he has NOT done a Viper, and would LIKE to...sounds like about 100 hp for about $700.00(+/-)using a CONSERVATIVE approach. I don't know much about these systems, but am reminded had much hp one can find for only a few $$. Main reason for post is to recommend attending show...know of at least 3 well known Viper racers who attended. FUN< FUN< FUN!

Steve,

Thanks for your post! I wish i could have been there. I have just completed a Nitrous system for the C-5 vette that i will be dyno testing(on my own C-5) this week! Dry it should produce around 90 rwhp, and with propane injection we will be tuning it for 160 rwhp!!

The kit is introductory priced at $ 1199.00 for the complete NOS/Propane system. This is not another LS-1 camaro kit that you have to modify.

thanks again, BTW did you see Sir Hiss at the event?

From the Viper community I saw Sir Hiss, Howie Frank ( both in the Mopar booth), John Hennessey and crew (various locations) and Skip Thomas (in registration) during my two days there.

Regarding Nitrous, there must have been at least a dozen Nitrous Component suppliers there with kits covering from mild to wild, including the imports.

I attended the PRI show as well. I didn't see any Viperoteables but I was talking to a Rep who sold fuel pump's and he said that Warren and Kurt Johnson uses his pumps on their cars. He then said "there's Warren and Kurt" I thought he was talking about the autographed picture on the display. I turned around and saw Warren and Kurt standing there. Kinda cool.. This was my first PRI show, I definately will be attending next year.

PRI = Performance Racing Industry...this was 13th annual event. The PRIMARY purpose of MY post was to let fellow Viper owners know about this show...there are racers, tuners, and other sorts of SERIOUS auto folks that SHOP here. The show is essentially "for the trade" as I read it. MANY THANKS to WG, Rick, and Charlie(Adderwear Products) for getting Elaine and I into the show.(the BAD news is that SHE got so WORKED UP at the show that she levered me to call a well known Midwest Viper dealer/racer--occasional Merlot sampler--who is cooking up a deal on a 01 GTS to calm her down a bit). THE SHOW IS A MUST...FIND A WAY !!!

Happy Holidays to ALL,

Steve and Elaine Ind/Ky and ILL VCA
