I bought a set of standard GTS wheels for my 2K ACR. They are obviously heavier than the ACR BBS wheels. Does this change negatively affect the ACR suspension set up?? My ride has detereiated substantially since the change but I am not sure it is the noisy Koni rear shocks or some other cause. Any advice would be appreciated

For what purpose did you purchase these wheels. I wouldn't consider changing the BBS wheels. They look fabulous and identify the car as an ACR.

Hey Bob !!

Iv'e chatted w/ a couple ACR owners who have simply stored the pricey, hard-2-clean BBS wheels for posterity, and run non-BBS OE wheels for daily use. OEM Dodge forged wheels are 3 lbs heavier, and use the same rubber/sidewall height so the ride should NOT be noticably different at all !

I know, a Princess could feel a Pea, but Im surprised that you could say "deteriorated ride' ? I wonder about the balance of the new ones??/

Guys,
I bought the OE wheels because the BBS were a Pain in the *** to clean! Granted they look better, but simple analysis, less spokes=less work. Jon, you are right I overstated my complaint on the ride issue. I believe the car is loosening up a bit since break in and a few more rattles are noticeable when doing the New Jersey pothole dance. If I wanted a ride like a SL 500 I wouldn't have bought the snake!! Thanks for the advice!

Bob,
Is it the dreaded ACR "Shock rattle" that you are now hearing?

yes John I do believe that it may be the shock situation. I am trying to eliminate all other possible causes. I had the wheels high speed balanced and then the dealership had them specially rebalaced. Still no improvement. I'm getting a little fed up, so I am posting a survey of ACR owners to stimulate some action. See my post above in this regard.
