The Motor City Viper Owners went north to the Lelanau Peninsula in Michigan from September 23-26 last weekend. The annual event had 21 cars this year. We based at the fabulous Homestead Resort. Each day our outings would begin at the resort's Reservation Center.

We gathered at the Northport Lighthouse for a group picture (not this one -- one by a professional photographer).

Then we started visiting the wineries, having a fun time caravaning across the twisting and winding roads that transverse the Peninsula. When we arrived at a winery our cluster of cars always caught a lot of attention.

By the end of our four days we were the talk of this thinly populated area. Our convoy of fast moving cars stopped traffic and people gawked and waved wherever we went.

Our expenditures for wine, food, clothing, tourist trinkets, and GAS certainly boosted the local economy. The facilities were great and the locals treated us wonderfully.

We had a terrific time with club giveaways, raffles, great fellowship and plenty of swift driving on ideal roads for Vipers. We have to give a really big thanks to the following club members who organized this fabulous outing: Frank and Kim Berle, Rob and Jill Butryn, and Dan and Sue McDavid (see post on Dan's garage elsewhere on this forum). A great Viper experience!! :2tu:
