I am looking for the Heater Power and Heater ground wire from the O2 sensor.

There are 4 wires coming from the O2. Two are white, one is grey and the other is black.

The wires are numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 on the back of the harness.

Any idea which one is heater Power and Heater Grd? I don't have the book to look them up.

Thanks

yes.
I need to put a 20 ohm and 10 watt resitor there to put a load on the circiut so that the ECU will think that my linear 02 is working while I am using my wide band O2 sensor is the one that is working.

From my wideband O2, it sends a linear signal to my ecu while I can read the wideband signal on my digital display. If I don't put a load on the power heater and heater ground the car thinks that the stock o2 is bad or not connected so it throws a code of P0171.

If I can't find the right connections, I bought a 2nd O2 **** and I will just have to put the stock one back and use the 2nd for my wideband O2 read out.

ok...#4 goes back to the ECU...#3 is jus sensor ground... if you need to put it on the ground side use #3....#4 is heater power..#2 is true ground...so put it on #3 if thats what you're looking for...

Thanks a ton!

One more question for ya...is #3 ground the same ground wire in the ECU? What's the difference in the ecu ground and the other?

I was looking at my diagram and the wires I need are the ones that heat up the O2. I have to put a resistor between those two.

Thanks for your help. You got a paypal account so I can send ya a tip!

heh! heh! So #1 and # 2 are the wires that heat up the O2's? That would be the Heater Power and Heater Ground?

Thanks Len!

Yeah , I was wondering about that. I thought #4 was in the input signal to the ecu which I think is pin #24 or 26 on the harness..not sure unless I looked at it. You rock man with your quick answers!!!

How did this work out for you? You two lost me with the numbers but I assume you just put your resistor between the two white wires. Right?
