In my 2003 SRT there are toggle switches in each of the doors. Mine don't seem to do anything, and I don't know what they are for. They look identical to the toggle switches which open and close the windows mounted on the center tunnel. First I thought they might be door locks, then window adjusters, and lastly mirror adjusters. But I don't see them doing anything.

Anyone know?

Thanks,
Larry :usa:

Up...Unlocks doors.
Down...Locks doors.

Switch is just in front of inside door latch.
Door latch overrides this switch, but outside door handle can be locked or unlocked with this switch.

That was my original thought. Mine may not be working. I'll try them again.
Thanks for a straight answer to a dumb question.

The gen111 have virtual door locks the switches in question mearly enable or disable the electric door latches, they do not make any sound when operated it is just a signal sent to the body control module

Watch your instrument cluster above the Odometer. If I recall, when Driver door is ulocked it flashes, when both doors are unlocked it stays steady, and when both are locked it extinguishes.

Thanks again. Never noticed it before, but I was able to toggle the "doors locked" display above the odmeter while toggling the switch. So now I know what it does, and that it works. Appreciate it.
