With all this talk lately about other brands, like the Ford GT, and the ZO6. How many of you guys owned Mopars before the viper? Are most of Viper fans or Mopar fans?

Other Mopars before my Viper:
68 Road Runner 383 4 spd
71 Road Runner 383 Auto
73 Road Runner 318 Auto (still owned...since new)
74 Road Runner 360 Auto
(I guess I'm kinda wierd for Road Runners)
Cheers,

I don't look at the brand so much as I do the style and performance. Price fits in there somewhere too. I'm even happier if its American.

My previous cars:

1966 Olds Cutlass convertible
1970 Satellite (4 door)
1970 340 'Cuda
1971 Barracuda Gran' Coupe
1976 Olds Cutlass
1979 Chevy Blazer (w/400 cid)
1984 Cutlass (w/T-top)
1996 RAM3500 4x4 (w/V-10)

I still own the ones listed below with the addition of the Durango R/T I just bought.

Vic, I agree with you. It's all about the total package. I can appreciate any make and model car if it's done well - whatever the category.

Happy New Year!
Paul

I am with no mercy. I like to get a variety of cars. My only other Dodge was a Shadow, which was my college ******.

I have owned Ford, Pontiac, Buick, Olds, Chevy, Dodge and a Toyota. Oh and Honda if you want to count bikes. Harley next on my list.

First MOPAR was a Viper.
Before that a Chevy man.
Currently a Viper, Caddy STS, Ford Expedition and a Ford Galaxie STW.

In past I've owned Citroen, 7 or 8? Mini's, Ford Cortina, 1963 and 1973 Corvette, Buick Grand National etc. cars...

So I quess I'm not brand loyal?

Brand doesn't matter too me. I recently bought an Evo (mostly for my wife) to go with our Z06 and Viper. If Kia came out with as sports car I liked, I'd look at it.

First MOPAR was a 95 Ram 2500 XLT 4x4 with V10 ;)

Came to Viper via Tupperware, though...

No going back.

I've owned Mustangs most of my life, but I like all fast cars. After owning 6 Mustangs, I am ready for something different now though. I really hope the Viper I get soon brings me as much enjoyment as my Stangs have.

Hey Red,
I thought I was the only Viper guy that has ever had a Cortina...
I used to have a 68 Mark 2 GT, and I just bought a 69 Mk 2 GT,
I love those things.....

I have owned quite a few Mopars as well as other makes, mostly muscle cars.
Besides my 94 RT10, I currently have a numbers matching 70 CUDA that I have had for about 12 years now. ;) :2tu:

I'm only visiting Mopar, isn't my first. Gen1&2 Viper is/always will be my favorite but its obvious DC isn't going to come up with anything comparable in the near decade so I'm keeping my ear to the ground.

Viper is car number 29. 27 were mopar. 2 were quick sell old lady cars. Simple rule, if it doesn't have a pentastar on the muffler, it doesn't park in the driveway.

For me the roadrunner is my favorite mopar of the sixties and the GTS is my favorite mopar of current.
