Joe:

what is the latest, do you have the car running - you brought us to the cliff and left us hanging.

I know for a couple of days he is dealing with some family issues. I will let him update everyone when he returns.

I'm back. yeah... family issues (pending untimely death probably in the next few days ) had me out of it for a bit. but i came back just in time to spend 8 hrs on someone else's viper.

So here is the update on mine:

tested everything (including all relays - big thanks to 1TONY1 for helping out with this over the phone) and no luck.

re-wired crank position sensor bypassing the stock harness - no luck.

took the vec2 out completely - no luck

regrouded all sensor grounds - no luck

redid everything i just listed again, but at the same time: and it worked. car started right up. lots o' spark.

at the moment, i have absolutely NO idea what the problem was. I am speculating a loose connection somewhere.

so there we have it. silly viper.

so my head swap this time took a bit longer. next time will be quicker. i'll time it again.

Joseph, sorry to hear about the illness in your family. Hang in there brother.

Glad to hear you have your car running after all the problems!

My car still is not running :(

I was installing the SC brackets and had to persuade a spacer to line up with a bolt and snapped the fitting to the PS reservour....DOH!!!!

Oh... don't worry. It was running, but I have some more things I want to do to it before I put it back on the road. So I disconnected the battery and am at it again.

In my spare time.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

more to come and progress to be made. this weekend i hope to wrap up the various small projects and actually wash the car!
