A few days ago i just noticed that there are about 3-4 tiny little raised bubbles at the corner edge at the top of the headlight on the driver side part of the hood. Today i notice that it is about a 3" larger raised bubble with the little bubbles on top of this bubble? It looks like it is from the heat or maybe a possible dealer repair they fixed before selling the car.

Has this been an issue with our cars or does anyone else have this problem? I seen something similar on Bonkers 99GTS when i met him in Ocean City a few weekends ago.

My Viper is garage kept and has less than 10K miles on her :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Had them on my 97 GTS and have seen them on a few others. I don't know where they come from but I did get rid of them without repainting. I very lightly wet sanded them out with 2000 grit sand paper & buffed with 2 different grades of compound until it was perfect. I can't promise this will work for you but it did for me. I was planning on repainting and didn't have anything to lose by trying.Good luck!

i had a customer with this prob...i took to my paint guy..they sanded down the area...put the car in the heat booth for about 8 hours..made all the resin vapors rise out of the bodywork...then filled in the area with new glass and resin..sanded and repainted the area...it worked beautifully!!..thats what i'd recommend!!!Len

yes!! The last two posts are correct. Incured mix under cured paint will bubble. You have to strip it back down, and bake it. I sometimes will even grind the resin out and redo it. (can't use bondo! As this is SMC and must be repaired with that material)

I had my bumper repainted a couple of years ago due to a fender bender and 2 days later it bubbled up in the place where they put in the filler. I took it right back and the body shop guy said that it was because the wrong filler was used. He fixed it right away. 2 years have passed since and no problems.
