Got a call from Palmer Dodge & they are concerned about the negative press they have been receiving on the VCA web site. In an effort to improve service & customer satisfaction, They have appointed a VCA liaison for all your sales & service needs. Eric Palmer can be reached @ cell 77023105591 & 770 410 1111

This is a big step & we appreciate their efforts

Our own private liaison huh? Who's going to take the plunge?? Unfortunately, I know it's too late for my future business, or recommendations for that matter. At least they are trying to turn over a new leaf and I wish them well.

Unless it is warranty work, there is no need to go to them...Especially with McIntosh Performance just up the road.

I can not forgive them letting someone steal my car and run it over a curb.

1. You have too many numbers in his cell.

2. Tell him that my car was missing insulation in the sill rockers, half the clips were broken, the wiring harnesses weren't correct, the speedo stopped working, some of the bolts and clamps weren't right or were missing, i need to replace wheel bearings in the front, the front rotors were cracked, my rear defrost doesn't work and there were some chips in the door near the hinge... also my door hinge doesn't work.

Thanks!!

Here is the story - I had my car in for service at Palmer Dodge. I had asked them to put on two new tires (which I supplied) They told me that their equipment could handle the job....Well, GUESS WHAT??? It could not. So in the middle of the day while I was at work, they called me and asked my permission to take the car to NTB to get the tires put on. I told them specifically - ONLY IF SOMEONE STAYS WITH THE CAR. I was assured by the service tech that HE would stay with the car. Well, when I go to pick up the car, my rim is scratched to ****, my fascia is messed up, (scratched and somewhat dented). They initially asserted that it must have come in that way. Uh, NO, it did not. Anyway, to summarize, after reviewing a security tape at NTB, one of their employees took the keys to my car and went for a joy ride - AND WRECKED THE CAR. Needless to say, the Palmer service guy did not stay with the car.

The good news is that everything was fixed at their expense, and they did provide a Rental while they fixed it. But the incident should not have happened. Also, the guy that took the car was Fired from NTB. I just do not feel comfortable with their level of honesty or care for my car. That is why I will not go back.

I am impressed that they would take this step. I have never done business with them but if they clean up their act, I may be willing to do so in the future.

Yah. I went in to buy an SRT-10 with a buddy of mine like 7 months ago. The Black SRT-10 on the lot had been titled 4 times AND that was in pretty rough shape... 400 miles on the OD. they wanted 84k. Now my buddy was buying the car... he had cash in hand AND had called ahead, spoken to someone, and let them know he would buy the car that DAY. And they wouldn't let us test drive it.

The sales guy there was a dick [and had never heard of Woodhouse], and we walked away. Something about "If you can get a car for a better price somewhere else, bring it here and we'll buy it from you".

F them...

9 days later, a new black SRT with 6 miles on it showed up from Woodhouse... in perfect condition. Oh yeah, It had never been titled.

I _too_ got an e-mail (then call) from the GM at Palmer. Seems sincere in wanting to fix things...

But to Tony's point, Mike is one hell of a guy up at Ringgold... I'd trust him to take my car for the weekend to the BBQ or even the track!

Trust goes a long way in the viper community... time will tell on these guys.

I have called them on two occasions to buy a Viper fist time: Told the Viper Specialist exactly what I wanted and the price range that I wanted it in. (Price range was very fair)....# days later I see a car like I had requested on ebay from Palmer Dodge....No phone call, so I called got the Viper Specailist's voicemail he never returned my call!! I purchased my 01 Viper 1 week later for a dealer in South Florida over the phone for a lower price than I told Palmer. 2nd offence: I see a used Mamba edition on ebay reserve was never met. I called to inquire on this car.....I got totalled retailed (high retailed). I made an offer above the new Mamba's net dealer cost for the used Viper. The Viper Specialist never called me back oh what a suprise!!!!
2 strikes and you are out with me. :(

I went to look at two blue/white GTS's... talked to the "Viper Specialist" about trading in my 2000 RT10 w/ 12k miles on it (paint was perfect, both tops, 7 yr maxcare warranty) for a 96 GTS with 40k miles on it. They said they would give me a good deal... which turned out to be an even trade. Yeah, right...

Related story... a friend buys a Dodge Durango from Mike Robbins at Ringgold. Differential needs work under warranty... for some reason, friend goes to Palmer because they have part in stock. Palmer not only botches the repair, but several other things are "magically" in need of repair.

Mike offers to bring the truck back to his dealership to fix it. For free.

Then again, I'm biased... Mike gave me a maxcare warranty for just above cost, picked up and delivered my GTS for me and did the clutch work, etc.

JD at Marietta Dodge takes care of all of my other work on the Viper. JD also comes out to the track with us, and actually spends time with all of the Viper guys.

Why anyone would want to "give Palmer another chance" is beyond me, especially with two great other options within easy reach.

Mike Robbins is the Man. Helluva nice guy. Owns his own dealership, wrenches on Vipers and races the hell out of them to top it all off. I have had the pleasure of hanging with him and his crew at the V-10 Nats and this is who I would trust.

Mike Robbins has bent over backward in support of the region & deserves your support.

On Viper techs, JD was the only one to attend the local meetings, as well as most of the track days & helps members out for free.

JD @ Marietta dodge has down work on all my vipers. I just moved closer to Perimeter, and have had very good success with Atlanta Dodge on Peachtree Industrial. They have changed a battery when I couldn't get it over to Marietta. I was so impressed, I took it back Friday for an oil service and brake pads. They tell me pads are fine and charge my $70 for the oil change, about 30 less than other dealers. I'll still use JD for anything major, but Atlanta Dodge took very good care of me. Just my .02
