Thanks

I am in the middle of replacing a water pump on a 1996 GTS and found that the cam sensor was busted in half where the wiring harness connector attachés to it.

Had my cam snesor replaced with only 800 miles on the car. Sensor checked out okay when it was removed and tested. but my viper tech said the part is only about $8.00 so he replaced it and my car has not gone into limp mode sense. I'm sure it has to do with heat, so when they test it out of the car it cold.

In my case above, the customers defective water pump was dripping antifreeze on the can sensor on account of a faulty water pump seal.

my cam sensor was tested once before replacing and read like it was working fine. But car has had no more problems since replacement.
