Passenger Side Door Button Stuck in the \"in\" position - wth?

So today I took a friend to lunch in my ACR. We come back to the car and the passenger side button to open the door is stuck in the in position. We can't even really pull it back to the out position, it's just sitting there. Nothing appears to be jamming it, and it's not trying to constantly open the door.

Thoughts? I have to open the passenger side door from the inside...

Same here. I knock on the door a few times and it worked itself out. Then a little WD40.
