I've recently purchased a 95 RT 10. I installed and exhaust, air intake system, and a vec1. Noticed when car was started up cold the vec was reading to the lean side. After engine reached temp appears to work correctly. Was courious about the condition so performed fuel pressure check. Which was 56psi, 55 is spec. Plugged into PCM with OTC monitior and discovered PCM stays in open loop at all times. Had a map code logged, but I think I caused that from to much adjustment of vec at one time. Cleared code. Road test unit with monitior hooked up, stayed in open loop. All readings from sensors input appear to be in spec. Can anybody give some advice on this condition? Could the PCM be malfunctioning?

PCM only goes to closed loop after warm up, so maybe your connections are blunting the temperature sensors input to the PCM.

I've disconnected all connection. I think this problem was present before installation of vec. I just didn't hook car to monitior until I saw lean reading on the vec gauge at warm up. Thanks for the thought.
