poser question... valve stem caps...

Well, someone stole my custom valve stem caps and I bought a set on Ebay and they
just came in... and they are plastic... my other ones were metal with the old sneaky pete....

anyone have a source for the metal version...

Valve stem trivia.

No matter metal or plastic, your Viper valve stems should have internal O-rings to prevent air loss. At the high speeds that Vipers are capable of, the metal valve can be pressed inwards by centrifical force and bleed off air pressure. The O-ring keeps the pressure from escaping.

LOL Actually I have a set somewhere around here but it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. The one place I know they are not is on my Viper.

I also have the cheap plastic one from e bay. From the first time I installed them the chrome came off. I guess you get what you pay for....
