Possible buyer confused

I just sold my c6 and i will be looking to buy a viper possibly in a year or so. I am doing all the research now however I have a few questions.

1. What year models define a gen1 gen 2 ETC?

also what is the main difference in all the different models? Thanks Wolf

Gen 1 is '92-96
Gen 2 is '97 (i believe this is correct)-'02
Gen 3 is '03-'06
and I guess the '08-'09s are gen 3.5 ????

Only one minor correction. 96 GTS is a Gen 2, 96 RT/10 is a Gen 1.5.

Gen 3 is '03-'06 ('06 is only year with Gen3 Coupes)
Gen 4 is '08-'09 (some call it 3.5 because they look a lot like Gen3)

Agree 100% with Venomiss, buy Maurice's book before you do anything else. It covers Gen's 1 - early Gen 3's. I'm not sure if later additions cover late Gen 3's and Gen 4 or not.
