No smell at all on mine. I'm not sure about flames, no one has ever told me there was any.

You can idle out of your neighborhood without any problem. One friend told me it sounds like a jet coming down the road a under hard accel.

It sounds SO GOOD!

I smell fumes when I stop.

It is LOUD and I do mean LOUD when under WOT.

Sometimes even hurts my ears... but there is nothing like it in the world!

Flames - YES and they are bright!!!

The flames usually occur between 2-3 or 3-4 shift and it lights up the night! :2tu:

depends on which cat-back you have. w/ corsa, it is loud and smelly. w/ borlas, not that loud and no smell.

B&B i'd imagine will be pretty loud.

Hey D,
the "smell" problem seems to affect the GTS guys more so than the RT guys. Has a lot to do with the vents in the back of the GTS. That said, I don't have any smell on my RT :2tu:

Did that to my first Viper duing varous testing stages... Very bad smell and way too loud! Sounded like an Indy car at WOT, It was pretty cool for a while but eventually you'll probably go with high-flo cats.
The following age chart may help you.

Age:
16-20 remove not only the cats but the entire exhaust system from the rear header flange back.
20-29 Definitely remove them
30-39 Judgment call; High-flo cats recommended(IQ comes into play)
40-? Hello your over 40 put the acetylene torch down and step away from the vehicle!!

IMHO High-flo and Corsa cat-back make the best sound combo.

No problem with the smell at all, I would not worry about that part. Now making your car any louder than it is might be the real issue.

Belanger Headers/no cats/3" Belanger exhaust for close to 50,000 miles. 40 was a long time ago for me ;) The 'Belanger System' is deeper than the Corsa and has a better rumble to it. Have never had a problem with smell. The Twin Screw Roe is in the house. I'm told the beast may even get a little louder when out exercising. Works for me. Quiet is for the other cars we have.

I didn't know "too loud" was in his volcabulary! The people of NY City must have filed a complaint with the mayor.

I can see a side piped car equipped like mine to be too loud for long trips, but with the exhaust coming out the back end, its definitely not too loud for me as it is. On start up, the windows upstairs rattle and neighbors 1-2 blocks away can hear it idling. Not one person in our subdivision has ever complained. I actually get a lot of compliments on the sound. WOT pushes the 'music' out well over a mile.

We'll see what the super charger brings as far as more noise goes. I highly doubt that I'll add anything back in there.
