QuickTime Videos from Speed Trial / autox Event

I ran my 1996 GTS at a speed trial this past weekend. It was pretty tight, I got up to 67 MPH or so..... I had a GPS in the car.... records max speed, average speed.. etc...

I have posted a couple of QuickTime videos on my website.... one is a quick burnout... the other is a full lap around the course....

no comments about my driving!

had a friend of mine taking shots at homestead.... next time I want someone in the stands to take video....

what kind of speeds are you getting up to down the straights at homestead? looks like you got your car set up well for roadracing.....

I never seem to remember the MPH (too much football without a helmet). Probably around 110 to 120. I was getting into 5th gear on both the front and the back stretches. I guess your event wasn't using the whole track?

I'll be trying my new StopTech brakes at Sebring in a couple weeks.

the speed trial I was at this weekend was at metro zoo.... at homestead, I think we used the whole thing.... I was hitting 124MPH down one of the straights....

124?! I'll have to look at the speedo the next time but ya get kinda busy turning off the stretch into the infield. We didn't use the banked turns. Or maybe we're talking about two different tracks? The pics on your site are of Homestead-Miami Speedway. What's Metro Zoo?


Homestead is a fun track. I'll be there again in October.
