Radar hard wire question

Finallyyyy after over a week of delays with the shipping company my viper will be arriving 8a.m. tomorrow. . Im going to hard wire my ****** radar detector and mount it by the rear view mirror and fish the wire down. Where is the best key on power wire located and whats it to? Any body hard wire a detector in a 98 gts before any have any info? thanks
