Not sure what year you have but it is very common for the seal plate gasket to crack and fail on the Gen 2 Motor. I have the gasket for a Gen 1 due to a parts counter mix up and a extra rear main seal for a GEN 2.
If you do a search you will find several references for changing out the rear main seal and a "how to" in the members section. Most people replace the slave cylinder while the are there are prone to failure.

ya im not sure i had it all cleaned up spotless under there then i drained the oil out as i was doing a oil change while i was putting new brakes on the car, but should have left the oil in to see for sure where it was coming from but almost a 100% sure its coming out of the rear seal!!ill get a better look today or tommorow! Just wondering what the seals are worth to buy!!

The rear main seal is mounted in a cover plate. The whole assembly runs about $160 without discounts. The seal itself is around $30. I don't remember the exact price. Call Chuck Tator. I just replaced mine and both cover plate gasket and the rear main seal were bad.

Wrong side of the country Vmiss.;)

I did mine last summer. Not a bad job. But it was definitely the gasket that blew out in the corner ( as Mr. Tator predicted) Only leaked at higher rpm, never at idle or on hoist when I searched it out. Blast down the highway and there it was.....

LOL perfect timing...
THERE IS A FULL WRITEUP ON THIS IN THE LATEST ISSUE OF OUR VCA MAGAZINE

I think "happy" is referring to the main seal on the engine, not the transmission.

It is a good article though!

I thought I had a bad seal, but, it was the oil pssing through the flywheel-to-crank bolts. You want to seal those bolts. That has happened to several cars.

ok cleaned it all up took inspection plate off and dry as can be, cleaned all off and tightened oil pan bolts up a half turn each see if that made a difference but nope, went for a drive for a hour came back put in garage, and lifted it up, and starting to drip again, its deff oil pan gasket ya can see the oil in the head of the bolts, and on the pan and slowly starting to seep down and it just blows back and makes a mess, but easier to change that than rear oil seal not cheap!! lol 290$ the dealer said lol ill look somewheres else for it!! Thanks guys for the help!!
