Came home after a ride and now the rear view mirror cabin light won’t shut off after the doors are closed!!! Any ideas?

well, I don't know if you adjusted your rear view mirror at all while riding, but I recently had this problem after a trip in a '92 RT/10. Check the windshield side of the mirror on I "Believe" the drivers side, there should be a switch to turn the light on and off, you may have hit it while adjusting the mirror, that is what happened to me.

try rotating the main headlight switch, it also activates the interior light.

If all of the above items have been checked, it is possible that the door latch has failed. If not working properly, the light will stay on.

This may be a silly question, but are you aware that there is a switch ON the mirror itself? (at least I think I remember that?)

Thanks for all of the responses…

I am aware that there is a switch on the mirror it’s self -- clicked either way, the light stays on.

I have checked the positioning of the headlight switch and it doesn’t make any difference including rotating into the ‘full on’ position.

I have disconnected the mirror in the meantime so not to drain the battery…

I guess I need to look at the door switch…
