red vs green ebc\'s???

what is the difference between red and green ebc's? as a red r/t owner, thinking aesthetically that red would look better, but i don't want to give up performance. do the ebc's perform that much better than stock pads? thx. :2tu:

Reds are a totally worthless pad IMO. They are supposed to be a street/track pad but they do neither very well. Contact Steve Pasztor 972-743-9443 for some greens and paint them if you are looking for aesthetics.

Ditto on what Chuck said, get the Greens. There is a better stopping power over stock pads and you don't have to contend with brake dust on your wheels.

Greens will have low dust and low noise resolution.
Reds will not have either advantage, as it is a mild street/race pad.

Stay with the Greens for low dust and very little squealing.

Re: red vs green ebc\'s???

The front calipers hide the brake pads so you don't have to worry about the color, but the rear pads are open.

I run a combination of EBC Greens in front and Reds out back. I figure that the rear pads need to be a bit more grippy to take advantage of the big rubber back there, but of course the fronts do the vast majority of the braking work.

After switching to the EBCs my brake squeal went away, and there is MUCH less brake dust on the wheels. Plus the braking feels at least as good (if not better) than the original pads.

What Chuck said the Reds **** the big burrito, the greens are dustless but have horrible braking distances

Stock pads stopped better then Greens on my CAR. But, Greens make MUCH less dust, so I keep them for that benefit alone. I would NEVER use greens on the track, as I HEAR THEY are horrible.

I heard Reds are worthless for either application.

You said to get brakeman something or others, right? How much better are those than EBC greens?

BTW, I can't have no squeeling brakes! HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Socal, you are the best. Let's grab a beer next time you are in town.
