Replacing front fender

Has anyone installed a new replacement front fender on their Gen 3/4? Did the fender require trimming in order to install? Are they custom shaped to the car?

A fender from the factory will come trimmed, sanded, and primed to bolt on after paint. Some other cheaper ones have not been finished as far and will come in the raw plastic and require you to have the prep done. Be sure and check the surface for waves before you accept the fender though as this will look bad on the car.

Thanks for the reply. Does this mean the cheaper (non finished) ones are aftermarket?

There are aftermarket parts and you can tell if they are not stamped with the part number. I would stay away from ANYTHING that requires you to "trim" it.
