Retain value or not???

I beleive the Gen I and Gen II Viper will hold their value and maybe even increase over time. But will the same hold true for the used SRT10 Ram's?
I found a Red 2004 with low miles in the low $30K, can I expect it to hold there or will it continue to fall in value?

Didn't these list for over $50k? I'm guessing that since they are plentiful on ebay, many want 4 wheel drive and don't need 500HP, I'm thinking they will stabilize at $25k within the next year. JMHO

PS As you know, you probably have one of the most collectible classic vipers on the planet. Congratulations on assembling such as fine collection of cars.

A black 2004 SRT RAM at Car Max with 5K mi is priced at 34K and change.A very impressive exhaust note.IMHO

Buy a Prowler instead. They have been regaining value as of late and will most likely hold steady before increasing in value in the future.

Kudos to your collection!!! I hate to mention a chevy but the 454SS truck from the 1990s would be the closest historical comparison. Not sure what they are going for today but I haven't heard of the prices going through the roof on them either. Trucks have rarely been collectible so buy it to enjoy it if you do. Good luck.

If you wanted a SRT/10 truck, I would think the VCA edition (B/W combo) would be the most likely to appreciate / depreciate least as only 50 were produced if I remember correctly.

VCA Edition Ram, Maybe.

Others? No.

My Basis? Well, hot pickups just have never caught on. I own two, I ought to know. I have a '79 Little Red Express and an '89 Shelby Dakota. Both very low production, both among the hotest American vehicles on the pavement in their time. I just saw a "Suvivor" '79 little Red with an amazing 800 +/- miles on it go for less than 30K about three weeks ago.. If the owner had put the money in bonds... he would have made more money over the last 26 years. My Shelby Dakota? Well, a nice one will bring 8K.... not even half of what it cost new, a survivor will bring almost the original MSRP.... again, money just about any where else for 16 years would do better. Don't get me wrong, both trucks are a blast, I would not own them otherwise.. both get looks, the Little Red more so than the Shelby... and insurance... way lower than a performance car of the same period.

Going outside of Dodge, look at the GM turbo hotties Syclone(?).... not even MSRP afer all these years. Trucks are trucks, at least if not all that collectible, they are useful My humble opinion.

Yes, they are going for higher prices......That's because they are appreciating! The others are not and will not in my humble opinion. It is about limited production, only 50 made, how many reds produced?

I can see going up in value on the Blue White VCA. Limited built.

I would hold out for something better. I can't imagine the SRT Truck holding much of its value. Even if I felt that it would, I would figure the market will continue to drop on these over the next few years and it would be ill timed to pick one up.
