Being 6'4", I need to lower my seat in my 97 GTS, will the 1" provide enough room or the 2" would be better.
Also, who makes the best sets and most reliable??
Thanks for your help

I too am wondering about the seat kits. Northwind makes
the kit, but I've read with the 2" drop, you need to shim
the front brackets to get the required rake for thigh
support. Some have used washers to adjust the tilt, others
have used 2" sections of pipe. The manufacturer is supposed to be working with some people to come up with
a more factory design for "tilt", but I haven't heard anything. Anybody????

I installed their 2 inch kit last week. I found no need for a front shim to rake it back. I'm 6-5, btw. Installation was a pain, but I'm not very mechanically inclined. :D

2" kit gives you plenty of room! I also would like some more thigh support, so I will be adjusting the tilt this spring.

Rich...do the two inch drop, and then shim the front up about 2.5"...You drove mine...and that is how mine is set up...

I'm 6'2'' and just installed the Parts Rack 1'' adjustable lowering kit, and I used washers to adjust the rack. Works great.
I went with the 1'' adjustable rather than the 2'' non-adjustable because if anyone shorter than 6' needed to drive the car they wouldn't be able to. ie. mechanic, tuner, wife..........second thought.

Nope-
The 2" kit is necessary for those over 6'2". I'm 6'6" and can use my helmet in my GTS. If ya need thigh support, use a pillow (I do)!

I used the washers with longer bolts, to bolt the seats to the 1'' adjustable bracket. You have to tighten the front and back bolts down together but a spacer cut at the slight angle would be better.

Acually I bet if you asked the vender they could make the spacers for you.
