I presume you are talking about the IAC (Idle Air Control)
It is above plug one and just under the RHS throttle body.
If so, the purpose of this is to manage air control to the motor based on inputs it receives from the PCM.
If it is disconnected she may run a tad rough.
Hope this helps.

The IAC is located on rear passenger side of engine. This is located above cylinder 1 spark plug on front driver's side. Theres is a small wire and plug like cap hanging nearby. Was looking to change ignition wires and saw this. Car run ok!

Also where can I fing Dignostic codes? Some are in service manual but not "55" which is what I am getting

Thanks,

Haven't looked in the manual for your wire, but "55" as a code simply means you've reached the end of the codes to be displayed. The "55" by itself is not indicating a problem.

If it is a single wire connector it could be the over temperature alarm

It is a single wire with a rubber boot on the end...
Will try to follow wire, see where it goes to...
Did not find anything about over-temperature alarm in manual!
Thanks,

That is it - the red (over-temperature) light in the lamp cluster is independent of the temperature gauge transducer.

The book says code 23 is:
Intake Air Temp sensor Voltage Too Low.

Did you disturb the connector that plugs into the temp sensor located on the back of the air box?
