Service Engine Light is on

I have a 98 GTS with only 9800 miles and the service engine light just came on as I started it to change the oil. Any suggestions as to what it may be?

I’m not sure if this works on your MY but it works on my ‘04; and in the comments for the video it works on another 1998 Dodge so hopefully your car has this feature.

Just follow the simple instructions and make a note of the Code that comes up on your display. Then find out what that code references. Some codes will clear themselves after 2-4 modest drives and shutdowns if they were a one -off based upon some weird occurrence.
