VDO makes a couple different ones and so does Autometer. Installaition is a snap. 1 power (12v source), 1 ground, 1 to the light, and one you can tap splice into 1 wire from the PCM. Depending on what type of light, you will need to calibrate the shift sender for a V-10. I have seen them mounted on the dash and the steering column.

Good Luck!

Don-
One last note. I noticed in the cookbook, it says to splice into PCM wires for the 12v power source as well. I don't think you have to do it there. Unless you have to, I prefer not tapping wires off the PCM. I tapped one of the fuses under the dash beneath the fuse cover for the 12v ingnition source. Now you only have to tap into 1 wire from the PCM: the RPM signal.

Mark,

The black Viper in Jason's shop was mine. I got the Quick-Lite (5330) from Autometer and as you saw, I mounted it on the steering column between the tach and speedo. I chose this one because it's so small yet still very visible.

You have to buy the shift light directly from Autometer because they have to recalibrate it for the Viper setup. You also have to buy an RPM module (5310, approx. cost=$65) and the "pills" (approx. cost=$25/pack) that plug into the RPM module to set the appropriate RPM trigger point you desire.

As far as installation is concerned, it was real easy. Like other Autometer shift lights you have to connect 3 wires from the RPM module (+12V, ground, and the tachometer wire out of the PCM module). The RPM module has another cable with a connector that connects directly to the shift light. I mounted the RPM module under the dash using the double sticky tape provided.

Hope that helps!

Hi Don, Autometer sells a shift light for a Viper but you have to get it from Autometer directly so they can calibrate it for a V 10. See you at E Town this weekend.
