Silver State Classic - who\'s going after VOI8?

I'm driving from Dallas to Las Vegas after VOI8 to participate in the One Mile Shootout and Silver State Classic the following weekend. Is anyone else planning to do the same? I would like to form a convoy for the trip - even if it is just one other Viper. Let's hear from you.

I have done it 3 times. Once in my Vette and twice in the Viper with a target speed of 160. If you are going to try to win anything you will need a navigator. Have fun.

Re: Silver State Classic - who\'s going after VOI8?

Last May, I did the One Mile Shootout and the Silver State Classic as a navigator for another driver (Greg Baxters). Our target speed was 150 and we did 149.6mph (sixth place). In the One Mile Shoot out, we did 169.6mph. At more than 6500 feet, our car lost a lot of horse power. I think the navigator and GPS are very important if you want to win the race. By the way, I think it is a good idea to removing your wing and fold in your side mirrors in the One Mile Shoot Out. I cannot go this Sept but I will do it next May 05. Good luck!
