Can something be done to stop hackers from having a field day with this site.
I am constantly getting blank emails from guys on this board who are not sending them.
Then today i was told that my email address sent out a virus to guys who frequent this site.
I do not use an address book of any kind so it must be site related.

please look into upgrading the security of the board
thank you

I have a external router with firewall to try and keep the little monsters out!!!

The new forum software is under development. Soon, this will all be taken care of. Please be patient.

As Don says, the new software we are developing should help.... primarily because it will have a blind email setup (similar to the way the classifieds email reply on the site works).

The KLEZ virus that is the cause of the issue is the most wide spread virus in history. Many posts have covered the topic, but it basically grabs emails from an infected persons in box, out box and cache and stuff them in the "to" and "from" fields of the email it sends.

By going to a blind email setup, any emails in the infected users web cache will no longer be "grabable" by the virus.
